Bridges at St. Paul’s School
Elementary & Middle Summer Institute
All Bridges students from the summer after third grade until the summer before ninth grade participate in the five-week Elementary and Middle Grades Summer Institute held on the campus of St. Paul’s School. Over six summers in the program, students build strong peer and adult relationships, gain academic enrichment, and receive valuable exposure to the arts, sports, outdoors, college, careers, and community service.
The Bridges Weekend Mentoring Program was started in 2009. The goal of the program is to provide each grade of Bridges students with an additional network of adults to assist them with future decisions regarding college, career, and life. The program partners each sixth grade class with a group of 7-10 adults who see the kids 4-5 times a year from grades 6-12. Currently, three grades of Bridges students have weekend mentors.
Middle and High School Guidance
In the fall, Bridges provides every family with a student in the fifth and eighth grades the opportunity for one-on-one middle and high school guidance. Participating families receive a copy of the Bridges Insider’s Guide to School Admissions, materials to help organize the school search, as well as continued coaching through the application and admissions process.
High School Support
The Bridges Fellows Program connects high school students that participated in the elementary and middle grades programs with opportunities for paid summer jobs and preparation for college and career.
