Founded in 2003, Austin Voices for Education and Youth is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging school reform efforts, building a new generation of young leaders and supporting Austin families to reduce social and economic barriers for students. Starting in 2007, Austin Voices developed the Family Resource Center model that now supports 11 campuses in 2 school districts. [Open to 1 Law or 1 Undergraduate per summer] GJP serves the homeless and indigent of metropolitan Atlanta charged with criminal offenses. GJP provides a comprehensive program that begins with caring legal representation, continues with prison visits, and offers support after release with housing assistance, job training and placement, addiction recovery, and personal counseling.
Greensboro Housing Coalition, the advocate for fair, safe, and affordable housing, has brought our community together to resolve complex housing problems: building collaborations with different organizations, advocating for public policy changes, and participating in research studies about best practices. We counsel homeowners facing foreclosure or needing repairs, tenants trying to prevent eviction or to get landlords to do maintenance, and homeless families to move into safe housing.
