SOME is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation’s capital. We meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing, and health care. We help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness. St. Anne’s Mission located in Klagetoh, AZ. At 75 years old, St. Anne’s Mission has a staff that is comprised of a mixed community of Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Dominicans, and lay volunteers. Staff members pray, work, and share together as a mission community. Spiritual growth and development based on the 12 steps of AA and scripture are stressed. We provide preventative care, treatment and rehabilitation of persons without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, socio-economic status, marital status, sexual preference, disability or political affiliation and those suffering from the effects of domestic violence. We initiate, direct and participate in educational programs for preventative recognition of and encouragement of treatment of those persons adversely affected

The Vermont Community Garden Network’s mission is to support and grow the state’s vibrant network of community and school gardens. We provide workshops, technical assistance, online resources, grants, and networking events for community and school garden leaders. Our hands-on programs offer basic beginning gardening education so that more people can feed themselves, their families, and their neighbors.
